Jaeger's comments on "micromanaging"

I have been running a clean, positive campaign, but I thought I had better briefly address  some of the opposition's dirty political tactics.   Mr. Jaeger has addressed just the tip of the iceberg about the false "micromanaging" accusation. I will back up his comments with some not-so-pleasant truth. This may sound like political commentary, but it is actually meant as a public service, being what all Kronenwetter residents should know, no matter who gets elected. The following is what I have actually done and observed: Background on the 2022 implosion Over the past few years I have sent carefully documented complaints to President Voll about the former administrator's incompetence, dishonesty, and misconduct (this means illegal activity). Mr. Voll consistently did nothing but bury the information and/or shield the administrator from any kind of accountability whatsoever. In doing so, he often also covered up his own culpability in certain matters...

Ethics in Kronenwetter –the Real Issues

Ethics in Kronenwetter –the Real Issues by Ken Charneski There are two types of behavior currently being discussed at the APC committee which I chair, both under the heading of “ethics”. There are statutory ethics (improper personal gain or advantage) as one type. Then, there is the more subjective personal behavior kind of ethics which is not ethics at all, but simply an individual's behavior that someone else wishes to determine as unacceptable. The t rue statutory ethics violations can always be reported to the police for prosecution, which to my knowledge has never been done, or had reason to be done in this Village. There is a basis for enacting that kind of Ethics Code, though past experience shows that it is easier said than done.Ethics violations are already listed in Chapter 400 of the Village Code of Ordinances. The Problem The problem with a proposed enforceable personal conduct kind of ethics, is the question of the ethics and int...

Political Censorship - Jaeger File #1

Image
I am not going to agree or disagree with Mr. Jaeger's opinions posted on Nextdoor. But in an effort to beat the one-sided, election-time bias of the Nextdoor censors, here is what he posted, and for unexplained reasons was deleted without his consent.    The moderator's choice of what they do and do not remove raises questions about who is playing politics with this.

My answers to Wausau Pilot questions March 22

Name, age and current occupation:   Ken Charneski semi-retired What skills or experience do you have that makes you qualified for this position?   Many years of business and life experience. I have been effective as a Village trustee for the past 5 years at advocating the best interests of the taxpayers. I have done the same as chairman of several committees, and currently chairman of the Administrative Policy Committee, Kowalski Road Interchange Ad-hoc Committee, and the Redevelopment Authority. Is there a particular issue that motivates you to serve? At a fundamental level, I saw a problem with the Village Board, and particularly the Village President, taking their direction from the Village Administrator, instead of the other way around. In effect, it looked to me that with very few exceptions the Village was being run by an un-elected Village Administrator and other staff viewed as the "authority" by the Board. The Administrator and staff controlled the information ...

Toxic Campaigning and dirty politics 2.0; The the social media antics of Tony Daino

Image
I am updating this post  with an FYI -   Wisconsin Statute 12.05 states:   False representations affecting elections. " No person may knowingly make or publish, or cause to be made or published, a false representation pertaining to a candidate or referendum which is intended or tends to affect voting at an election."       The information in the letter below is substantially false and obviously intended to affect voting . The fact that they used the US mail to commit the alleged crime described above elevates it to a federal rap. - end of update -_______________________________________________________ I thought last year's local election got ugly. Apparently they were just warming up. Below are my observations and comments on the posts that people like Tony Daino are putting up on Nextdoor. Here is  the letter he has been promoting in his attempt to affect the upcoming election. He published on Nextdoor a hit piece letter that he c...

my public input addressing corruption in Kronenwetter government

Below is my public input that I used as a means to address an issue. I mention several documents that were quietly handed out by Mr. Downey at the meeting.   Public Input for the 3/22/22 Village Board meeting.     This is about the March 7 meeting and the effort to remove a committee member.     I find it interesting that there was no packet report on this item – no explanation, no definition of charges, no victims – nothing. There was not even any complaints or so-called evidence posted in the packet. I'd like to see those 4 documents that were handed to the Board, presumably as evidence, to be retro-actively added to that information packet so the public can see what it is that Mr. Lesniak, Voll, and Downey based this action on.      One was an anonymous complaint. I completely refuted the second complaint from December of 2020 as being obviously hysterical, and of having no credibility whatsoever. This debunking...
