My call in to talk radio and my email to Wausau Pilot discussed on the air

Here are links to the two radio segments, the first discussing the smear campaign against me, and the second one about my email setting the facts straight, to Wausau Pilot.  https://omny.fm/shows/feedback/callers-1-the-meg-ellefson-show-032924  https://omny.fm/shows/feedback/callers-2-the-meg-ellefson-show-032224

My answers to Wausau Pilot - Kronenwetter Trustee Questionaire

Kronenwetter spring election questions Email * charneski21@gmail.com Name and age Ken Charneski Occupation independent business Prior political experience (if any) 6 years Kronenwetter Village Board, Chairman of the CLIPP committee 2021-22, (reformed the Village building code to reasonable standards), Chairman of the the Administrative Policy Committee 2022-23,(complete overhaul of Employee Handbook, updated Village Policies, and employee wage scale to retain employees.  In April of 2023 I was prevented from participation in any standing committee, apparently due to the personal political agenda of President Voll and his running mates. This is the first time in Kronenwetter history that a trustee has been treated this way. What motivated you to run for office? Some residents of the Village appreciate my diligence, objective thinking, and a willingness to pursue the Village's best interests, no matter what the personal politics and objectives of staff or others on the Board migh

Trustee Sean Dumais' complete response to Wausau Pilot reporter

A recent hit piece was posted by Wausau Pilot against myself, Ken Charneski,  and two other conservative candidates for Village Board, cited little more accusations and disparagement by our political opponents. As long as they can find someone to say something advantageous to their political ideology, the reporter can print what was said, with apparently no obligation to determined whether or not what was said is true. The terms used by our political opponents - "Racist", "bigot", "homophobe" and other false accusations were abundant and unrestrained.  My full reply to the reporter giving the truth of the matter, is posted on this site, and below in this post is Trustee Sean Dumais' full interaction with that same reporter.     Given the information that he had available, it is clear to me that the Wausau Plot reporter wrote the article with the intention of dishonestly affecting the outcome of the Village election.    Notice the wide disparity between

When the pictures in the previous post began circulating in the Village, a reporter form Wausau Pilot contacted me with questions and attached the Voter info sheet and the poster, but did not attach the picture of the woman holding the sign.  I normally cooperate with reporters, but this one obviously had a bias that he was trying to justify.     Below are his questions and my reply.  Mr. Jayshi,   You claim to be a reporter, asking about words like "queerer", "browner", "witchier" and "transgender" as if they are something that I came up with, when you should know it is not true.     Since you read those words with quotation marks around them in the literature, you must have also seen that statement below it which says: "(see attached photo from the CFA website)".  I assume that you have seen the photo referred to there (see attached)  before you sent your carefully framed questions.     Aside from the fact that the photo quoted from,

My Answers to Wausau Pilot questions - County Board

Marathon County Board spring election questions Email * charneski21@gmail.com Name, age and district Ken Charneski District 14 Occupation independent business Prior political experience (if any) 6 years as Village Trustee What motivated you to run for office? I believe that the incumbent supervisor does not represent the best interests or values of the people of the district, and that I will do much better. What is the biggest concern you have about the way Marathon County government operates today, and how do you propose to manage that, if elected? At the core of it is the perceived disrespect of county county government for the taxpayers' money. The budgeting process needs to be made more transparent and the final budget should be completely understood by the supervisors before they approve it. Dave Baker in District 23 seems to have found at least 3 separate "hidden" funds of $1-9 million each. These unknown stashes of money should

My Answers to the Daily Herald questions - County Board

Name: Ken Charneski   City of residence:   Kronenwetter   Occupation and education:  Retired, no college degrees of any type.   Relevant experience:     Growing up on a successful farm in Kronenwetter in the 60's and 70's, I learned to evaluate, problem-solve, and to think independently . Since then I have advised and participated in a number of successful businesses.  As a Kronenwetter trustee,  my work ethic and ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate has often been of great value to Village residents. I hope these qualities are a good fit for the County Supervisor seat as well.     I work for the People that I represent; to benefit the rights and quality of life of those taxpayers, not the interests or convenience of the government.   Campaign website/Facebook page:   kencharneski.com   Why are you running for office?       I believe the current supervisor of District 14 has not advocated for the interests of the people of the district as well as I plan on doing. . My answers to forum questions March 7 - County Board

  1. The local news has presented a controversial societal issue (banning of certain library books), and claimed that Marathon County Supervisors made budgetary decisions based upon this issue. We understand that societal issues are the domain of the state legislature and not that of the Marathon County Board. Please discuss how you would address citizens who feel that county board members should consider societal issues when faced with making a decision such as library funding decisions made by the County Board. Elected officials are people, and people have core beliefs and a moral compass of some kind. This was all understood with the founding of the State of Wisconsin, and applies to elected positions, juries, etc. I would not believe anyone who says that their personal morals, world view, etc, does not influence how they vote on certain issues. Societal issues almost always boil down to a conflict of ideologies, ethics and morals. If you don't vote your conscience, you can bet
