  Once again Kronenwetter is in the news with Administrator James Davel acting as if the Village is Marathon County's pet poodle. Yes, it's "big", but it represents a LOSS to the Village with zero gain. Davel is quoted as saying: “They’re going to have a brine plant there. They are going to have a wash bay there for their trucks. This is not a little shop, this is pretty significant,” said James Davel, Kronenwetter Village Administrator. “We just need to make sure that we’re good teammates with the county, we follow our zoning and rules. That shop is also going to be supporting Kronenwetter, and we’re county residents, so we should be good teammates....

   James Davel has said repeatedly that he wants to "change the culture of Kronenwetter government". It appears that he is doing that by eliminating diligent, knowledgeable workers who favor open, honest government. First Rutherford, then Wegner, now Poyer.    In my opinion, this Davel/Joling partnership has brought nothing but betrayal to taxpayers and destruction to Kronenwetter, and this is the latest.  I'll post more on this issue later today, along with the complaint against Davel and Joling that Poyer refers to in her resignation.     

   In yet another step down the Village's Road to Perdition, corruption, and unAmerican activity, Village President, Mr Dan Joling has denied former trustee Sandi Sorensen her right to provide written public input at the August 10 Village Board meeting.     He said it's "too long", even though "too long" public input has often been accepted, or at a minimum the reading was cut short after the first three minutes.    I think length is not the issue here, as much as concealing information is.    Joling's $40,000+  Kronenwetter "investigation" has shown itself to be an epic debacle of what I'll call unwarranted, unethical, and in my opinion even illegal personal efforts by Joling and Davel to punish and drive out some of the few honest people left in the Kronenwetter Village  organization.    Aside from the costly "investigation" which was in turn apparently used as an excuse to fire Pete Wegner "with just cause",  the s...
